I’m still holding on to the promise I made to your mom that no matter what happens between us, no matter how far we are, I’ll still look out for you. I remember when you had doubts about yourself, self-esteem issues and a lack of confidence and I said you don’t have to worry because there was something in you that I find really attractive and I’m only ever attracted to people with confidence and a drive to do well.
Look at you now. You’ve matured into a beautiful person, graduated and doing your masters. In a relationship with someone who looks like he’ll love you and I hope you don’t ruin things with him. I feel it makes it easier for me to keep that promise.
I wish I was able to tell you “I told you so”. Someday maybe.
